Pastor Paul came to Almira in June of 2007.  He grew up in Belfair, WA and after graduating high school, moved to Kirkland to attend Northwest College (now University).  He enjoyed traveling on a comedy team for 2 years, playing basketball and serving on ASB.  Paul graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, but just before graduation felt God calling him into youth ministry.  He then became the youth pastor at Solid Rock Community in Covington, WA and enjoyed serving and growing there for over 6 years.  It was there where he learned many things about ministry and God cemented in his heart a passion to tell others about the hope of Christ.

Paul then felt like God was moving him somewhere else, but he didn’t know where.  So he took a step of faith and resigned his position not knowing what lied ahead.  Shortly afterward, he received a phone call from a little church in Almira that was looking for people to come in and speak.  With nothing on his schedule, he decided to come on out.  And I guess we can say that the rest is history.

Amy was born in Spokane and was raised here in Almira where her dad served as pastor.  After graduating from ACH, she went to Northwest University.  While there, she enjoyed traveling on a comedy team for 3 years and received her Bachelor’s degree in Music Ministry.  Since then, she has settled back here in Almira where she conducts the church choir and leads worship.  She also teaches pre-school for the Almira School District.

Amy and Paul met in the spring of 1995 and their paths seemed to continue to cross throughout high school and college.  Who would have known that 13 years later they would be getting married and living in her quaint little home town.

Paul and Amy are excited about being here in Almira. Their desire is for people to know and understand how deep God’s love is for every person, no matter who they are.  They look forward to seeing you at church or meeting you for the first time…so don’t be shy!
