Michael and Denise BartelAlmira Community Church joined Michael and Denise’s support team in August 2009.
Michael and Denise are working to rescue and restore international and domestic victims of forced prostitution (human trafficking) in the metro northeast. They desire to bring spiritual, physical and emotional freedom to teenage girls. f.r.e.e. stands for find, rescue, embrace and empower.
Their work in rescuing young women began with Project Rescue, in India, but God brought them back to their own country because the U.S. is one of the largest destinations in the world for these victims. It is estimated that 14,000 victims pass through JFK in New York annually!
The Bartels were married in 1993 and have two young children, Dylan and Veronika. They are originally from Montana.
